- miPlata is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking services are provided by our program bank, member FDIC, and Lead Bank managed by Bridge Ventures, LLC.
- Money Transfers in this app are provided exclusively by Viamericas, a licensed money transmitter. miPlata provides the technology platform that enables access to these services, but it is not the licensed remittance provider. Before confirming any transfers, you will receive a complete disclosure of applicable fees, exchange rates, and estimated delivery times, along with information about your rights and protections under U.S. federal and local laws. For information about state licenses and the state regulators performing oversight over Viamericas, please visit the State Licensing section of their website.
- miPlata Visa® Debit Card is issued by our program bank pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A Inc. and may be used everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted.
- miPlata sends money transfers to México, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, República Dominicana, Ecuador, Perú and Uruguay.
- Account enrollment is currently available to ITIN and SSN holders only.
- miPlata USD accounts are FDIC insured up to $250,000 per depositor through our bank program, Member FDIC. FDIC insurance only covers the failure of an FDIC-insured bank. FDIC insurance is available through pass-through insurance at Bank Program, Member FDIC, if certain conditions have been met.
- miPlata USDC accounts are not backed by FDIC protections.
- Your Account doesn't allow negative balances. Transactions are declined if you don’t have enough funds. In rare cases, a transaction may settle for more than the authorized amount and temporarily result in a negative balance — we don't charge overdraft or negative balance fees.
* - Numbers shown are for illustrative purposes only and do not reflect actual amounts. Excludes taxes and other deductions processed after payroll.
